MURPHY CAREER INSIGHT DAY
Yesterday, a number of our 5th and 6th year students travelled to St. Conleth’s GAA Park in Newbridge to attend a Murphy Career Insight Day. The event offered students a great opportunity to explore some of the exciting career paths Murphy offer, including: Trade Apprenticeships: Construction Plant Fitting, Electrical, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Mechanical & Automation Maintenance Fitting, Metal Fabrication, Motor Mechanics, Pipefitting and Plumbing; Skilled Utilities Operator Traineeship– for those interested in becoming an operator; Ground Engineering Technician Programme; NDT Traineeship- Non-Destructive Testing; Degree Apprenticeships in Civil Engineering – applications are open now for Sept ’26 start (for those finishing their leaving certificate in 2026) and Graduate Opportunities– for those heading to college first (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Water/Wastewater, Quantity Surveying, automation and process engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental, Planning, Building Economics).
