Naas CBS Part of Abbey Theatre Pilot Programme
Naas CBS recently became the first school to use a new set of resources from The Abbey Theatre in order to teach about The Mother and Baby Homes scandal.
HOME is a valuable resource designed to bring this subject to secondary students using drama as its main medium of learning. It also looks at the results of the Commission of Enquiry into the Mother and Baby Homes in Ireland. It was very rewarding and very worthwhile for the TY classes who were involved.
