Parents Council Memo
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Please see the notice below from the Parents Council.
The Parents Council AGM was recently held on 2nd October. At the AGM, the Council thanked our Principal, Ben Travers, for his ongoing support and time, and they thanked outgoing members who finished at the end of the last academic year: Frank Murphy, who was a very popular Chairman for many years and who remains closely involved with the school, sitting on a school all-weather pitch fundraising finance committee; Tracey Gallagher, who served as Secretary for a number of years; Kathleen Brennan, Parent Council member who was also an integral member of the school Board of Management; Patricia O’Dwyer, who was a very active member of the Council for a number of years. The Council wishes Frank, Tracey, Kathleen and Patricia every success for the future.
At the AGM, the Council appointed new members to committee roles: Emma Toner has taken up the role of Chairperson; Alice Lamont has been appointed Vice-Chairperson; Jacqueline Kelleher has been appointed Secretary; Louise Halligan remains Treasurer and has also taken up her new position as Parent Representative on the Board of Management, joining Tim Mulvihill, the other Parent Representative on the Board.
The Council also thanks members who have returned again to give their continued support in 2023: Caitriona Byrne, Jessica Clifford, David Creighton, Caroline Cullen, Niall Duffy, Sinead Harvey McGrath, Maura Hennessy, Beatrice Hlongwane, Paula Laffan, Siobhan Lawlor, Lynda McGilloway, Tim Mulvihill, Maebh Ni Chleirigh, Louise O’Rourke, and Rosalyn Tamming,
Since the AGM, the Council is further delighted to report a number of new members have joined, attending the November meeting. The Council warmly welcomes:
