6th Year Ag. Science Trip to Kildalton Agricultural College
Our 6th Year Agricultural Science students recently travelled to Kildalton Agricultural College to take part in the Agri Aware Walk & Talk event and it proved to be a hugely valuable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a working farm while also attending a range of highly informative talks covering key areas of the Agricultural Science course. These included sessions on soils, horticulture, equine studies and sustainable farming practices, all delivered by experts in their respective fields. The day allowed students to see many of the topics they study in the classroom brought to life in a real farming environment. They engaged enthusiastically with the activities, asked great questions, and weren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
A big thank you to Agri Aware and the staff at Kildalton Agricultural College for hosting such a well-organised and educational event. It was a fantastic day of learning and a memorable experience for our students.
