T.Y. Architects in Schools
A group of our TY students had the pleasure of taking part in the Architects in Schools workshop which is kindly supported by the Irish Architecture Foundation. These workshops were hosted by Richard Arnold architect who set design tasks for the students, and also gave an insight into what the career of an architect entails.
Our students were asked to create a design that would improve the community in which they live, and each group arrived and interesting and varied solutions. Students seemed to enjoy the opportunity to work in groups to design and make models of their buildings. Richard also gave a short presentation to a number of our 5th and 6th years who are interested in architecture.
