Astronomy Talk
Our first year students had a wonderful opportunity to hear all about space, astronomy and planetary astrophotography today. We were delighted to welcome Ciaran O’Callaghan to our school, from the Naas Amateur Astronomy Society (NAAS).
Ciaran spoke to us about the history of astrology, showed us some of the amazing images he has captured and even brought some telescopes in for us to see.
The lads were excellent throughout the talk, they were fully engaged and asked lots of very interesting questions, which Ciaran was more than happy to answer. We hope it was an enjoyable experience for them and that it helped to solidify their learning of Earth and Space.
Huge thanks to Mr. Cunningham for arranging the talk and to Ciaran for being so generous with his time. We wish him all the very best in his endeavour to capture the lunar eclipse next year.
