Exam Fees for Junior and Leaving Certificate Exams 2026
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Examination entry fees have been re- introduced for the 2026 state examinations. Leaving Certificate Fee – €116. Junior Cycle Fee – €109.
The State Examinations Commission( SEC) will facilitate payment of fee/application for medical card exemption via an online portal – https://fees.examinations.ie/ The portal will be open from 2pm on Thursday 19th March – 5pm Thursday 30th April 2026.
Each candidate will be provided with individual letters with log in details to access the portal.The letters will be distributed to exam candidates next week.
