Important – Use of Mobile phones for students during the school day.
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
The Department of Education released a circular in mid June in relation to restricting the use of and access to personal mobile phones to students during the school day.
Schools were asked to formalise and implement a policy to restrict the use of mobile phones by students during the school day, including during breaks and at lunchtime.( See PDF1)
Please see our updated phone rule. The rule for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students remains unchanged. Junior students are not permitted to bring a phone to school. TY, 5th Year and 6th Year students must have their phones powered off at all times during the school day. ( PDF2)
Students will need physical cards or cash to pay for food in the school canteen.
We are asking for the support of all parents in the implementation of the school phone rule to support the wellbeing of all the students in the school.
