Senior Irish Debating Competition
The Senior Irish Debating Team recently took part in Comórtas Uí Phiarsaigh in Mount Anville College. The team argued for the motion “Is aoibhinn beatha an phinsinéara in Éirinn” – Pensioners in Ireland have a great life.
Unfortunately they narrowly lost out on a place in the Leinster Final in what was a very tough competition. A huge thank you to Fionn McCarthy, Matthew Davis, Austin Brennan and Sam Fahey for their dedication and commitment to the competition since September. The standard of Irish they displayed was phenomenal!
Thanks to Mr. Travers for presenting the team with their certificates and Fáinne badges. Maith sibh agus guímid gach rath orthu as seo amach!
