TY students visit AvCon Expo at the Irish Air Corps base in Baldonnell
42 of our Transition Year students and 2 fifth years travelled to the AvCon Expo at the Irish Air Corps base in Baldonnell. AvCon aims to inform students about the Future of Aviation & Aerospace.
Students got to see a number of Irish Air Corps aircraft up close including helicopters, PC-9, PC-12, Airbus C295, plus visiting aircraft from AFTA, NFC, Pilot Path Group, Leinster Gliding Centre and more. There were many Interactive Exhibits in aviation, aerospace, drones, tech, and space. Students also had the opportunity to listen to inspiring talks by the Irish Air Corps, NASA and the European Space Agency to name a few. Students agreed that the Expo was informative and enjoyable.
