Applications for Junior Cycle Appeals 2026
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
For 2026 the SEC has introduced an online appeal application process via the SEC Schools Portal. The Junior Cycle Appeals Application service will be open between 10am Thursday 8 October and 5pm Wednesday 14 October. The application will only be accepted from the school authority. Each appeal review carries a fee of €32 per subject.
To raise an appeal, the Principal (or authorised representative), must attest that the examination result attained by the candidate is significantly at variance with the school’s considered judgement of the performance of the candidate concerned at the examination in question.
