Young Economist of the Year 2026
Huge congratulations to our 5th Year students Finn White, Gavin McNamee, Anthony O’ Rourke and Tadhg Wholey who were awarded silver medals at the Young Economist of the Year 2026 National Awards.
Their project was titled Uruguay’s Renewable Revolution, and it examined how Uruguay successfully transitioned to almost 100% renewable electricity and what economic policies would Ireland and the EU need to adopt to achieve a similar transition?
This year’s event was hosted in UCD and the lads did a fantastic job representing the school at the competition.
